This course is open to all levels of experience within the MeM, Guitar Craft and Guitar Circle context and aims to builds on our work to explore and develop our physical, emotional and mental connections with the guitar, music, ourselves and others.
It is an opportunity to define where we are now and to take the next step – individually and as a team.
The course is also intended as a preparation for the upcoming course to be held in Lunlunta during the month of October and for future Musica en Movimiento projects.
The underlying principle of this year’s At a Distance Project is:
“Practice, Development and Application.”
We aim to take the elements we have already been working with and develop them so that they are more connected to our life’s practice.
The course will consist of individually organized work and online sessions whatever our experience: Beginner, Intermediate or/ and Advanced.
Participants will work alongside their local teams and individually on personal tasks and group projects.
All elements of MeM will be present in the course:
- Guitar work (Calisthenics, Repertoire, Composition, GC Themes; Performance);
- Morning Sitting/ Exercises;
- Theme work;
- Body Work (Feldenkreis, Tai Chi, Prana Yama, Qi Gong);
- Readings;
- Kitchen/House work.
Our full commitment to this full range of coursework is a requirement for participation on the AAD course.
These MeM elements will be offered in an integrated, differentiated and variable manner; both weekly and monthly, and using the online platform, Zoom meetings and in-person meetings. The course will be given in English and Spanish.
The project completes at the end of the tour of The MEM Guitar Orchestra through Western Argentina, which will take place between October 31 and November 3, 2024.
